В городе всего 2 гостиницы (вместе могут вместить не более 100 человек) и одно общежитие. В летний период всем туристам мест не хватает. Спрос превышает предложение в 3-5 раз. Тем не менее, все три объекта существуют на последнем издыхании.
Дело в том, что налоговая, полиция, прокуратура, судебные приставы не вылезают оттуда с проверками. Проверяют все, по несколько раз в день в нарушение любых разумных и законных сроков. По любым, даже надуманным основаниям, по анонимным жалобам и проч. Работникам турфирм просто некогда выполнять свои обязанности - в день они иногда участвуют в нескольких проверках. Стоит ли говорить, что любые попытки построить гостиницу, приобрести теплоход, автобус или хоть как-то иначе развивать туризм, в таких условиях заведомо обречены на провал.
Туризм - единственное направление бизнеса (помимо мелких ларечников), которое еще хоть как-то присутствует в Беломорске. Однако администрация города, и органы власти этому всячески противятся. А противятся по банальной причине - путем выдавливания с рынка действующих предпринимателей, а также путем рейдерского захвата хотят поставить везде "своих да наших". Чтоб и откатов больше получать, либо вообще свою долю иметь.
